Bakers Square

We were traveling through Iowa and stopped in Clive at our favorite brunch restaurant: Bakers Square. I told the manager that we needed to quickly order our meal and he assigned Danielle to be our waitress. She was incredible: quickly taking our order, returning very promptly with our meal (photo shows one of the strawberry crepes we devoured), and settling the bill’s payment at our table. At the end of vacation, we will definitely stop at Bakers Square and again ask for DANIELLE!! We were in and out again in less time than at a fast food restaurant and the meal was much more delicious. Try it - you won’t be disappointed!

I would like to start off by saying their food was excellent and I very much enjoyed it. We went in around 7 at night and we had to wait because about 5 minutes for our table because the manager was the one sitting people and she was in the kitchen talking to the staff. She never acknowledged us and asked us to please wait while she addressed something. We were finally greeted and asked how many people we had and there was 8 of us and she made a table up for us because the party table hadn't been bussed yet. Which was fine. We sat down and took about 15 minutes before she came back to get our drink order. ( the manager was our waiter which is fine if they are short staffed) when we got our food she had to go back to the kitchen because she forgot a few things and things that were messed up

I was in the neighborhood & decided to have a nice meal. Great staff & nice variety of customers also the& enjoying the food, service & peace. And it was PIE DAY!

Save your health, kidneys, and wallet by not eating here. The cheese is the most synthetic cheese you can see, it looks like plastic, the pie is pure processed sugar. The food taste was below mediocre. The best part about being here was the gentle respectful server, Frank. They advertise menu items not available. I asked for grilled onions and barely got a fingers pinch worth of onions, the rest was mushrooms.

Got the burger here and it is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Also went on a Wednesday so got free pie! The fries are good as well.
