A Taste of Italy

This place is a little gem. Great service, great food and amazing atmosphere. I got the house special sandwich with Italian sausage on the bottom. It was light and delicious. As a chef it’s hard to find a nice little place to sit and enjoy a well made meal. The guy making sandwiches was super friendly and helpful. You can definitely taste that he loves what he does. I’d give this place more stars if i could! 10/10

I can't believe I haven't eaten here before because it's right in my area. Great food, great service. The Chicago style roast beef sandwich with peppers was excellent. The bread was so good.

We were passing through Des Moines on our way back to Missouri and I was craving a Chicago-style Italian Beef. A quick search led us to Taste Of Italy! We will definitely be back, every time we're in town! I can't wait to get home and try the sauce and dressing We bought!

Wonderful Italian deli/grocery. Super friendly, great selection of sandwiches and deli salads. Pictured is the P.I.T.A, meatball, sausage, Italian beef, capicola, cheese and peppers. Also try the limoncello cake!
