Bake N' Cakes

I ordered this cake for my fiancés surprise birthday party. When I unpacked this cake 35 minutes after I picked it up I was horrified. I paid over $72 for this cake and couldn’t believe how it looked. The cake itself self was good but how it looked was awful. It was so simple yet looks like this.

They never miss a beat when it comes to holidays or any special occasion! My family and I have been coming here for years for birthday cakes, holiday pies, or even the craving for a sweet treat.and they have been nothing but wonderful! Cakes are always amazing, not to mention the art work they do on the cakes. They’re simply the best in the greater Lansing area!

The service was very friendly! We tried the Black Forest cupcake, cinnamon roll, and a raspberry turnover. Highly recommend!

Spent over $60 for a 6 inch cake. Sent them two different photo references specifying colors & design. Confirmed this when I placed the order in person. They handed me a solid white cake with zero decoration. Event is today so there’s no time for correction. Disappointed is an understatement. EDIT: Owners response makes me look to be in the wrong when I know for certain coloring can be added to cream cheese frosting as they have done in the past. Absolutely no excuse to be given a white cake when the both photo references were blue & purple. I’d also like to add that the yellow stars & moon around the cake were not there until I sent it back.

Received a coupon for a free pie from Bake N’ Cakes. I’d never been before. The coupon expired the next day but even though it was NYE, when I called they happily said they’d bake it. I was given an accurate and helpful pickup time, the pie had just left the oven. The service was incredibly friendly and warm. Everything tasted great, but the attention to detail and customer service all for a “free” item was what really earned them a repeat customer.
