Bake My Day by Sal, LLC

I ordered her fried rosettes, pandan chiffon and ondehondeh cake ( coconut pandan layered cake). And they were all perfection! The rosettes were crunchy and lighty sweet , and the chiffon was just so moist and brings me back to my childhood (only better!). But the star of the show was the ondeh2 cake! Gosh- it was light, fluffy, moist and the cream/icing was divine! I usually would scrape most icing/cream from my cake because it tends to be too sweet for me. But every layer of this cake was so fresh and delicious and just the right amount of sweetness! The aroma and flavor of pandan was so refreshing! And the coconut palm sugar /brown sugar layer was too good! For the first time ever, I wish I bought a bigger size! And I don’t usually care for cake that much 🙊! So yeah, it’s dangerous! D

Ordered the most delicious Ondeh Ondeh from Salina. So good! Light and not too sweet, and you still want more after even a large peace! If you love cake but don’t like to feel guilty after eating it, get this 😋😋😋

I am pretty selective about my cakes and I have a weakness for anything that contains Pandan since I grew up in Singapore:) When I tasted Salina’s Onde Onde cake, I knew I found a gem and finally someone here in California who can bring me a proper taste and memory of my home! Salina uses real and fresh ingredients which is very rare (especially fresh pandan extract) compared to some Asian bakeries here who make pandan treats. Her cake is light, airy, fresh and just right with the sweetness and texture. I keep wanting seconds and thirds:) Being someone who bakes myself, I am aware of the time, effort and love that Salina put in her bakes based on the taste and quality of her items. We ordered the durian and orange chiffon cakes from Bake My Day by Sal, and they were so good! The chiffon was incredibly soft and fluffy—just melts in your mouth. The durian one had such a rich, real durian flavor (hard to find!) and the orange chiffon was light, fragrant, and super refreshing. You can tell Sal puts a lot of love into her baking. She was also really sweet and easy to communicate with, which made the whole experience even better. Everything was beautifully packed and felt really special. Highly recommend—can’t wait to try more of her cakes!
