Bagel Bakery of Dublin

I discovered Bagel Bakery a few months ago and have been stopping by early in the morning to pick up a half dozen bagels. They’re often still warm when I get them, which is such a treat! Every visit has been a great experience—the owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming. The bagels are excellent. My favorites are the sourdough, cinnamon crunch, and cinnamon raisin, and today I tried the jalapeño cheddar and sesame seed—both were delicious. It’s a wonderful family-owned business, and I’m always happy to support local spots that serve great food and provide excellent service to the community.

Came in on a Sunday, and even though it was busy, the service moved quickly. I did make the mistake of ordering “a number 4,” not realizing there are at least four different menus with a number 4. The woman behind the counter didn’t clarify, but thankfully the mix‑up was caught early before anything went too far off track. I’m fairly certain the lox bagel had a picture of an actual lox bagel on the menu, so I was surprised when mine arrived with only cream cheese. Traditionally, lox and cream cheese are layered together, so it threw me off a bit. That said, it still tasted good. The jalapeño bagel, though, was the real standout—easily one of the top three bagels I’ve ever had. Wide variety of bagels, duh .. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food and reasonable price. Good coffee too. Strongly recommend.

My family and I have been going here for 20 years. Rosa is the BEST, she always gets our order going right when we enter the store. Unfortunately the young man that takes the orders on the weekend is difficult. Last weekend he started giving Rosa a hard time right in front of us. Then today he told the person making the bagels to hold my order... as I stood there. They made it anyway and when they tried to hand me the tray, he intervened and said "He hasn't paid", which was not true, and the Lady handing us our tray informed him she rang us up (I think she is the owner). He held up my order on an assumption, he could have said sorry or something. It might help if he understood some basic customer service skills. Guess its time to find a new bagel shop.
