Baedega

We went on Saturday around 4:30 and opted to sit on the deck and enjoy the gorgeous view. Staff is warm, portions are ample, drinks fabulous, and food exquisite. The deck got a tad chilly after the sun set, but there are blankets to keep you cozy. We are so grateful to have a new year round haunt in Truro!

Wow this was so good I didn't get a pic of our small plates. The food was PERFECT and the drinks were amazing. This place is totally unique for the cape. MUST STOP IN!!! Cozy and super friendly. Call for reservations. Super pretty inside too very chic

From the moment we parked, I was impressed by the cozy exterior with subtle lighting and understated holiday elegance at the Baedega's exterior. Upon entering we were greeted warmly by Tracey who graciously took our heavy winter coats and introduced us to our bartender Kate. We were seated at the bar which is usually not my favorite seat, and in just a few moments I felt at home. Drinks came promptly and we were treated to the friendly banter among the staff and other guests. The entire restaurant has an air of a speak easy, with optional comfy seats and a large table for seating options. For the menu - what a great little hearts romaine salad that was followed by the grilled burrata and steak tips. Each dish surpassed the other and such generous portions! My human returned from Baedega once again smelling like joy, adventure, and food that I was not permitted to experience firsthand. I listened to the stories, the descriptions, the “you would’ve loved it, buddy,” and something inside me shifted. A resolve. A fire. A destiny. I looked my human dead in the eyes — the way only a dog with a mission can — and I declared, silently but powerfully: Next time, I’m coming with you. No more staying behind to guard the house from imaginary threats. No more pacing by the door like a Victorian widow awaiting her sailor. Enjoyed a cozy and delicious dinner at this cool spot. The slow roasted porchetta was divine! We sat at the bar and enjoyed delicious cocktails made by Kate! Thank you!
