B & F Diner

Got some food for takeout, and honestly it wasnt as good as I was told. Could have just been that we took it home and ate it but I just was a bit let down. Not horrible but not spectacular.

Friendly Southern restaurant with homecooked meals at fair prices. My wife enjoyed fried chicken with a baked potato and lima beans. I loved the BBQ plate with potato salad and cole slaw. Portions were generous and waitress was sweet.

I can't give this experience a good review cause from my experience from the pass has been better. I googled B&F to see what was on the menu and prices so I can know what I wanted and the price. I knew what I wanted so I just need to know how much I was gonna spend. I called my order in "two porkchops with fries and a double cheeseburger" it took two phone calls before someone answered. Finally got someone on the line ordered my food asked how long it would be they said 15 minutes. I ended that call at 2:55. Went thru drive thru to pick my order up. Got to the windows, gave her my name she walks off .few minutes later another server came to the window tells me my order is $27.50. $10 more than what I was expected with no drink. Me and my family went for our first time. I got the cube steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, with a side salad, and rolls. My wife got the chicken fingers with fries. The kids got a hot ham and cheese with fries. We shared an apple turnover and ice cream. We all got sweet tea (really good sweet tea) We had cheese sticks for an appetizer (really good as well) The cube steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, mashed potatoes without the gravy are really good/ with is amazing, side salad is just lettuce with tomatoes, cheese on request. I got mine with ranch. The lettuce was fresh, and the ranch was very good. Chicken fingers are fresh, juicy and seasoned just right. The fries tasted good but could have been cooked a little longer. The hot ham and cheese was really good. Dessert was amazing!!!

This spot is a regular when I visit Appling County. It has been here long since my childhood. The atmosphere is very pleasant and always served with a smile. It was great to get to stop in again after a very long time. I had a quick chicken snack which was crispy on the outside and very moist on the inside. The only way good cooks in the South know how to make it. I enjoyed my experience here just as I always do when I visit my old hometown. Keep up the good work guys. Highly recommended.
