Ayse Meze Lounge

My husband and I tried this place for a late lunch, and we were very impressed. The menu was diverse, with plenty of options to choose from. Every dish we ordered was delicious and fresh. My favorites were the falafel and spanakopita, and my husband’s top pick was the chicken shawarma. We love Mediterranean food and have been to several Mediterranean restaurants, and this one is definitely one of our favorites now. They also offer pizza and pasta, so it’s a great option for people who may not prefer Mediterranean food. I really appreciated the atmosphere and the friendly service as well. The open kitchen also shows their confidence in the quality and cleanliness of their food. We’ll definitely be coming back with our friends and family!

We were regulars at the Frederick location and talk about how much we miss it. Ayse is one of the places that is special because Nezih put his heart in it. Isabella’s and Pistarros are great but Ayse is unique and wonderful. We came for our 28th wedding anniversary and it was so amazing. Every part of the meal was meticulously prepared. We had 5:30 reservations and I would suggest that, because it got busy. The staff was amazing! Lucia our waitress was personable and attentive . The vibes and decor will get you in the door, but the food will keep you coming back. Everything on the menu we tried was fantastic. Such a wide range of Mediterranean favorites plus more. The service was friendly and quick, but not rushed at all. Definitely get the dumplings (a traditional Turkish dish) that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else in the DMV. 10/10 and can’t wait to come back!

Brunch at Ayse Meze Lounge was a fantastic experience. Every dish we tried was excellent, starting with the fresh salads and moving on to the sandwiches. The lamb sliders were my absolute favorite—so flavorful and perfectly done. We also tried the desserts, and they did not disappoint at all. Great food from start to finish, and a place I would happily recommend to anyone looking for a standout brunch in Rockville. I work in the same building as Ayse and was so excited to get another restaurant in the area for lunch. I've been here twice and both times I was disappointed. I ordered the soup and margarita pizza. Tuscan wedding soup was bland, and barely had soup in the bowl. They explained that the soup bowl was big, and not the right size, but that the usual $9 soup is 1 cup. Ok fine. Went there again on 10/2 and ordered a pepperoni pizza. They told me 10-15 min. Came back, food not ready. Waiter tells me it takes time for the pizza ovens to warm up in the morning. (So why tell me 10-15 minutes) Then I called about 5-10 min to see if my food was ready and Rita said "yup, it just came out." But, It came out cold. Like it was sitting there for some time.
