A&W Restaurant

Folks, if you are traveling through KY on I65 North or South, passing by Cave City, just North of Bowling Green, you MUST Stop at A & W Rootbeer Stand (restaurant for the modern day traveler). Located mear minutes from the Interstate, this will be the experience of your trip. The Stand is an easy in and out location. The facility is squeaky clean, the staff are professional, polite and beyond helpful. My Double Papa Burger was hot, fresh and took me back to a time when fast food was enjoyable. I am not a fan of waffle fries, but they were hot, fresh and a good size portion. Now to the GOOD STUFF!! You must get the frosted large glass mug and full with fresh made, in the store, A & W Rootbeer. Take drink of this cold delicious beverage and I swear, if you do not hear John Denvers song

For most of my life, my family and I have ordered Long John Silver's fish at this location. Almost every time, the food was wonderful. The staff was always friendly. Even after this LJS location became co-branded with A&W in the early 2000s, the quality stayed the same. I highly recommend this place to travelers who come to this area, especially if they're seafood lovers. If you're an A&W fan, you'll definitely love the offerings under that brand, also.

Food is not the best and the service should be better than it is and the staff does not wait on as you are pulled up to the window. They need a more well trained and organized staff. The food needs to be cooked better and served more properly. I wont eat there any more.

This is an A&W and long john silvers. I love LJS and a&w root beer so it's a great combination for me. Food was extremely fresh and hot. I try to stop here when I work in Kentucky.

Great stop. Friendly greeter, quick service, food was hot, tasty and well-prepared (oil had recently been changed👍🏻), plenty of self-serve drink options and seating, restroom was clean. Would definitely stop here again. Outdoor seating area was great, except for the worker on their break listening to their phone loudly with foul language.🫤 Follow @cwattsoverthere for all my adventures . 😊🧳
