Avellinos Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

Food - the best. No question about the quality and value. Both the Santorini Dinner and Flounder were ordered from the Chef’s Selections menu for that evening. These meals came with a large salad and choice of dressing. But, for the entrees, they were exquisite… fantastic flavors and perfectly cooked. The one major error was that the spinach and pasta were supposed to come out with the flounder. They came out after our plates were being removed. When pointed out to our server, she said, “You can enjoy them tomorrow.” That is bush league policy and service, isn’t it? Despite this, we will probably return.

This place is so good! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so cute. We got the pasta and it was amazing!! I want to come back and try all the different sauces since we only got two meals. The parking is great too. We only got takeout so we will have to come back and dine it because it looks so pretty inside.

Love the vibe love the food love the friendliness. We ordered more but my picture quality is poor so I could only upload these but every plates were so good! My son was soooo happy that he said he had the best pasta in town! Phillycheese calzone was great too. Bread that served before meal was a little dry and tasteless but liked the oilve oil.

We wanted to try a different restaurant in the Blacksburg area and came upon Avellinos. Tucked away off the main street it was a great find. We were seated right away and served a basket of bread and seasoned olive oil.. Our server, Helen, was friendly and efficient. The house saIads were brought out quickly and were good. I had the gnocchi - delicious- my husband had a combo plate of chicken parmagana, spaghetti and a manicotti- also very good. The portion size was perfect to have a little left for later. So happy we tried this restaurant. We plan to return and bring our family.

My company ordered for a company lunch. So I was not in the resteraunt to judge the service or atmosphere. We had lasagna, chicken broccoli alfredo, puttanesca, primavera, spinach and arugula salad, caesar salad, and garlic twists. All of the food was amazing. My favorite was the Alfredo. Which was the first pan emptied. So it was a big hit. I highly recommend this restersunt and now that I know where they are I will visit in person. So good do very good.
