Aumm Aumm

The interior and design is very vibey and looks nice, however the food did not meet expectation. The Tuna Tartare special tasted very fishy/strong odor. I tried to eat it to not let it go to waste but just couldn’t. I was hoping the lasagna would make up for it. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. Just mediocre & missing flavor. Finally, I hoped the pizza that was to come would make up for the entire experience. Unfortunately, it also was not that great. All the plates are picture perfect, but overall not worth it.

Little gem in north Bergen near the park. Came here on mid week night. Lovely spot at the corner. Very intimate and small but not to small where you feel like your in every ones conversation. The food was amazing. Had the Fritto Misto fried 🍤 and calamari to start. Also Insalata Aumm Aumm they were both great. We had the spaghetti 🍝 vongole i high recommend that. Also we had two pizzas the small pies. The quattro and napoli. The portions are large so they can be shared between two people. They give generous portion of wine per the glass 🍷.

This is my fourth time here and it is always such a wonderful experience. The service is top notch. I LOVE the wood fired bread immediately brought to your table. They recommended an excellent wine. Every pasta we have ordered has been so delicious! It’s our favorite date spot.

Food was average for the price point. Service was great and it has a very nice atmosphere. For reference we ordered the Pan Seared Tuna and the Milanese. Presentation was great but the Milanese wouldn’t recommend at all. The Pan Seared Tuna was decent but for the price you should go elsewhere.

We had a great time here! We walked in on a Friday night and were seated right away. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with an impressively large pizza oven. Our server, John, was great the whole night and never broke a sweat despite the place being packed. We enjoyed our food and particularly liked the gnocchi! The drinks were delicious as well. Very happy to have such a nice restaurant so close to us!
