Athens Pho

Came here with my husband yesterday for my birthday because I was craving good Viet food and was not disappointed at all! Everyone who said this place was great is correct. The portions are great and we both brought home leftovers. I ordered the pho dac biet (house special pho) and he got the grilled beef Korean short rib, we both got cafe sua da (Saigon coffee) and shared the the grilled pork spring rolls. Everything was so flavorful and brought out so quickly! The decor is very cute and atmosphere was chill. We will definitely be coming back again and again to try the rest of the menu especially since this saves us a couple hours of driving to Duluth or Buford hwy for quality Viet food.

The grilled pork banh mi is awesome, however the pho would be very nice if more bean sprouts and veggies are provided. The spring rolls are nice too. But the dipping sauce does not taste right. Adding some fish sauce would be nice! Anyhow we ended up taking out one more Banh Mi and two milk tea drinks to go! They don’t even know how to put them together in a bag……..

We will definitely visit Athens Pho again. The restaurant offers a nice selection of traditional Vietnamese dishes. The pho soup is phenomenal, while the service, the atmosphere, and the prices are also great.

I’m telling you guys, this place is the best place ever to eat at. I chose here for my birthday, which is a good decision. We order some phở. Thinking is was decent, but nope, better than I expected. We ended up eating everything, vibe like real Vietnam restaurants, like the services from the server also. Best place to go to for best Vietnam-like restaurant and vibe.

Athens Pho is really the best compared to 1) just pho 2) mother pho and 3) previous owner crab hut. Just Pho, the server didn't bother when I didn't have the chance to place an order or to pay. The wait staff was just chatting with friends. MotherPho, the portions are insultingly small. I couldn't justify spending $15 and not getting full. Crab Hut (previous owner of the same location), it was a layer of oil AND they didn't take the order right AND didn't bring out utensil. Place was loud and floor was slippery. The owner of Crab Hut argued with me on Facebook saying I shouldn't criticize her restaurant. Finally! A pho place with a huge portion, good service, and tasty foods.
