Asuka Hibachi & Buffet

I wish to give them 00000 five zero star I waited for 10 minutes to get a table, but the service was terrible. The food was too sweet, even a stick of candy was over the top. I don’t understand why they serve candy instead of beef, chicken, or pork. It’s not even a very expensive restaurant, and the route service was poor. I won’t be returning to this place ever again!!!!!!!!!

As someone who grew up with real traditional American Chinese food in the Boston area I can say this is the best American Chinese food I have had in Tennessee. More choices than anywhere else I have been, all served hot/fresh and refilled quickly. The Hibachi area also looked exceptional, but we filled up on all the great selections and did not try it this time. We will be frequenting Asuka as often as I am in the Smyrna area.

So I like to travel to visit different restaurants. So I decided I would give this place a try regardless of the reviews! This place was the best in Smyrna Area that I have ever tried, food was fresh, also hot. The flavors was amazing. There are so many options to choose from. I went during the lunch buffet. The restaurant was very clean I wouldn't complain about anything, except the service provided by the server's. There was 5 on the side I was sitting on. It was only 2 really interested in their jobs the other 3 was either on the phone, or cleaning beans at one of the tables, instead of picking up the dirty plates, or offering refills. I use to go here alot, I even worked here at one point and time. They are always rotating people in and out of there. If you go when they have a good cook the food is AMAZING. We live in Watertown and went out of our way to come by. Unfortunately when we went the food just wasn't as good. If I have the choice of spending $40 there again, I would choose to go to King Chef(love this place) in Smyrna instead.

It seems like there’s a lack of enthusiasm in their cooking. The chicken is burn, lacks flavor, and isn’t even good enough to store for later, almost like it’s gone bad. I had to reheat it and toss some sesame seeds in because they forgot to include any. It’s as if there’s no one overseeing the food preparation.
