Ashley Inn

It's quaint and accessible to restaurants and shopping. I don't walk, so we drove to shops and to eat on the water. It's a short drive to the Chappy Ferry and I would recommend it. There's nothing over there except the Japanese Gardens, but we drove around and it's worth the ferry ride for an 'adventure'. It holds 3 cars. They provide breakfast, which was nice...muffins, fruit, quiche. Sarah (I believe that was her name) was helpful with information for the island. We had arrived the day before and drove the Island, but our Ferry to Nantucket broke, so we had another day. She made some great recommendations. We saw the Gingerbread Cottages and Morning Glory Farm. The rooms are a bit dated as indicated in other reviews, and it smelled a bit musty when first got in, which I worried about

Had the pleasure of spending 4 days and 3 nights at the Ashley Inn and had the most wonderful experience there. The people who run the Inn are as nice and pleasant as you can imagine. They were even helpful enough to let us check in early, took extra care of our baggage, and even gave us helpful maps and points of interest in town, which is extremely close by. They offer a great breakfast as well as snacks throughout the day, and the room was cozy, clean and comfortable. Even the living room, dining room and outdoor patio made us feel right at home. Can't thank the Ashely Inn enough for having us for our stay in Martha's Vineyard. We will surely be returning in the future!

Positive: The first floor was decorated well. Negative: Our bedroom upstairs could have been nicer. It smelled of mildew, there was paint all over the bathroom floor, the furnishings were cheap and stained.

Guys, I have to tell you this place is a precious gift in this town . It’s a house but made with love , incense walked in we felt like we are back in childhood when we are visiting our grandmother . The owner Of this place , Fred was so happy to see us . After we were kicked out of Richard hotel we were very happy to be here and felt loved and cared . He even went upstairs and show us around . The room was like from Harry Potter fairy tale so cute with super nice bed . We like this island and we will definitely come back again to Fred’s house Ashley Inn . Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved our stay! The food and care were excellent! Our room was perfect and the location is prime! If we ever come back we will definitely be staying here! Love how kind everyone who worked here was
