Ashburn Library

Found our new favorite spot for story time! The Ashburn Library is fantastic—clean, organized, and the staff does a great job with the kids. My son loved the session today. It’s a bit of a commute for us, but the quality of the program makes it worth the trip once a week.

Welcoming library. Everyone who works there is very kind. Large variety of media. Children’s section has legos, visual tactile play wall and bead puzzles. They have a section of board books and spaces for families to sit and read. They also host events and are very clear about announcing them. They have a Spanish book section as well there is a good amount of parking.

Beautiful, clean, and spacious library. The librarians were very friendly--I was able to quickly sign up for a library card thanks to Lea/Leah. They didn't have the book I needed, but I was able to get it at the Rust Library in Leesburg. It was busy for a Sunday afternoon (a good thing!). I love public libraries, and this is a fantastic place.

The Ashburn Library has nice outdoor areas to enjoy after checking out your books. There are four wonderful outdoor musical instruments for the kids along a walking path that goes around a pond and leads to a toddler playground and basketball courts. Great place to meetup for play dates.

PARENTS/ TUTORS PLEASE RESPECT THE SILENT SECTION OF THE LIBRARY! If you don’t have kids and want silence don’t come here. Parents / elementary school tutors have 0 self awareness and respect about other people around them trying to focus on their laptops. Employees need to kick out kids out the silent section of the library or make more clear signs on every table. Kids should stay in kids room or near reception away from the quiet places. I told a tutor and a mom that this is the quiet place and they refused to leave because “other spots were taken” that’s was a lie. Their kid probably gets distracted easily and they feel entitled to teach their kids there like no one is going to care. I like going to this library for the wide selection of IT books and I can sit there all day doing codi
