Asa Ransom House

My wife and I spent a week at the Asa Ransom House from Christmas Day through New Year’s Day. The location is perfect for us as our family lives very close, also you can walk to restaurants in the Clearance hollow and the town park. A short drive to Williamsville and Buffalo. The hospitality, cleanliness and spacious comfortably rooms (ours with fireplace) made this holiday week very special. The breakfast each morning was perfection on a plate that you won’t want to skip even one day, each day was something different and deliciously fresh. We plan to return soon! Wow, what a wonderful inn. We were driving across the interstate as we often do, where we usually settle for a nondescript hotel to rest, but we found this wonderful place instead! The inn is beautiful, cozy and comfortable. The kind of place where you want to settle in to the parlor, have a coffee and a good book. Our room -- quiet and comfortable. Bradley, the innkeeper, perfectly attentive and welcoming. Breakfast? Delicious and the perfect way to start the rest of our Christmas travels. Bradley, you spoiled us. See you again -- every time we travel from Boston to Ohio. We'll look forward to another chance to experience your hospitality. Oh, I nearly forgot... the price... no more than those forgettable cookie-cutter roadside hotels. Treat yourself to the Asa Ransom House instead!

Staying here was a truly lovely experience! The whole place exudes a calm and tranquil atmosphere that will take you back in time. Being able to light a fire in my room with a flick of a switch was a special touch. I was in room 6 "Millstream", which was beautifully decorated with antiques and pictures from long ago. It had plenty of room to just sit by the fireplace or out on the balcony. I will definitely be back when I'm able to just relax and take it in it more. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. You will not regret staying here.

5/5 Excellent History abounds in every room and corner of this quaint and cozy old-fashioned boutique hotel on Main Street in the heart of Clarence. I am 75 years old and I felt like I was visiting my grandparents home. It was delightful. Surrounded by vintage artwork, antiques, beautiful interesting wall-papers, furniture, beds, bedding, tables, chairs, chandeliers, ceiling fans, even lamps you feel as if you were transported back in time (and to more relaxed, peaceful world). Delicious food. Warm and friendly welcome and personal service too from the owner of the hotel. Our room had a walk-out balcony overlooking a lush courtyard. Each room is tastefully decorated differently. Highly recommend.

Just an absolutely fantastic stay. No notes. Beautiful heritage home with an attentive innkeeper. Delicious rotating breakfasts. I was so pleased that the rooms had air conditioning as many other heritage hotels I’ve stayed at have not. The room was also stocked with books to read and old radio cassette tapes which was a lovely touch. I was surprised how sound proof it was as well. Once our door was shut we couldn’t hear anything from the rest of the hotel. We were also able to bring our dog, which was surprising for a heritage hotel. We celebrated the end of our honeymoon and my birthday here. It was my dream to stay at a heritage hotel for it, but we had been understandably struggling due to having our corgi with us.
