Areum restaurant

This was so good! We ordered fried rice and the spicy pork - the portions were HUGE! I had leftovers that my partner and I could eat for dinner and be full. It was so delicious, came with kimchi and pickled daikon. It was super fast, and the lady at the counter was polite.

Overall, the food is good, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. However, the side dishes are a bit limited from the looks of it.

Are they serious? Ordered jokbal, 98% of it were inedible pieces. There were literally two normal pieces, and the rest were throw aways. Ordered the medium for a friend, I'm embarrassed if they got what I received. Terrible start to a new business. Cannot recommend this place at all.

The same atmosphere as the last owners but the new owner is quite rude and impatient. We frequent HMart for our groceries as well as eating here for lunch or dinner. When Areum was built with the new management, the food has remained somewhat the same but the service - the main lady at the counter - has always lost patience at the slightest of inconveniences. Further, I had order tartare once at almost the same price of Hyeban and Koho but the quality was quite literally just barely thawed-frozen beef. The portions of the bimbambap are smaller than before with the prices even higher. Areum does NOT stand up to its previous management and it doesn't help that they even got rid of the sushi bar as well.

$25 was a good price for sweet and sour chicken. There was enough for at least four people. I'm giving a low rating because I was charged $2 for a small cup of rice, and then $1 for a takeaway container.
