Arborvine

An amazing overall experience at Arborvine. Staff were knowledgeable about gluten free options and very attentive. I tried the smoked salmon appetizer, beef medallions over scalloped potatoes, and the chocolate flourless cake for dessert. All three were packed with incredible, savory flavors. We sat outside in the enclosed patio, which had plants and lights to make the space feel special. This place was truly magical, I strongly recommend.

The meal was very good, especially the salmon appetizer, and the baked brie app. Above expectations. The beef medallions were very good, and the halibut was nice, although not knock your socks off good. The carrot puree was the best I have ever had. Beautiful environment, and wonderful staff. Worth a visit. Their "porch" is gorgeous and closed in with glass.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. My fiance and I went here during a trip to Bar Harbor and had dinner in the covered patio area. The patios ambiance was incredible and catching it late at night with the lights on was beautiful. For dinner we tried the baked brie, saffron poached pear and beet salad, scallop and lobster pappardelle, roasted halibut, and the blueberry cobbler with homemade ice cream (last one not pictured as it didn't last 🤣). In my fiance's words "this was the best meal I have ever had in my life" and I couldn't agree more. No words or photos would even do justice to how incredible this meal was. Every detail was delicious. We ordered a dozen oysters, Maine simply has the freshest oysters. I loved the chive mignonette slushy. The flavors paired spectacularly. I got the scallops which were good sized and perfectly seared with a slightly tart tomato sauce and oil. The cauliflower purée was a delightful surprise, the carrots perfectly cooked with hints of ginger, the chutney and potatoes were mouth watering. Best meal I’ve had anywhere down east. My husband had the pork, it was fall off the bone with dreamy flavors matching the fare. He got the lemon mousse napoleon and I got the grand marnier mousse. I liked mine best and it had the most beautiful plating. I loved the cozy home feel of the inside dining area. Thank you so much for the wonderful service!
