Aptos Branch Library

I’ve been using the wifi for about one week now and it has been working perfectly. The connection is stable and I haven't had any issues at all. Highly recommend! the Wi-Fi, and the performance has been flawless. No lagging during video calls or streaming. Very happy with the reliability so far, Thanks for that service, I really appreciate it

The staff is bored and useless, and the library fails to provide the most basic services, like wifi. An hour before the closing time the staff starts the ceremony announecing that in an hour the library will be closed. 15 minutes before the close they announce again. 5 minutes before closing they announce again. 4:59:00 the staff can't be more ready to leave the library. I feel sorry for the poor people who work for a place that they can't stand being there even 1 more second. Must be very said life tbh. The wifi rarely works and dozens of people have to squeeze in a very tight area of the library as the wifi only work there (sometimes). I'm going to vote against Kimberly De Serpa in the next elections. I'm paying WAY too much taxes in this county and Kimberly can't make wifi work? My wifi

The wifi rarely works in this library. You think that telling the staff about it will solve the problem, right ? The staff response is "ohh yeah we're aware of it, sometimes the wifi is spotty haha". Very cute response. Luckily I'm paying 0% taxes in Santa Cruz county as I'm not financing anything (I'm only taking services in Santa Cruz, not contributing anything) so I can't really complain tbh

Its great that Aptos has a library! However for the last few months it's only on paper and the admins and contractors are getting paid, but the library is closed. Poor working class folks, especially working homeless, don't have the access to the internet or printers to cross the digital divide and take control of their lives here. Thats what a library is all about; community and learning. There are nice expensive books strewn about the ground, now waterlogged, as if they were dropped on the way to a dumpster, and there are no longer local resources for personal and career development for the working poor. Whoever is in charge of this library renovation project is really doing a disservice by turning it into a long drawn admin project and wasting tax dollars trashing good books and facilit
