Applebee's Grill + Bar

This is my second time here at this location. The servers are always great! The food on the other hand hasn’t been the best . The first time we came here it was ok nothing crazy good nothing crazy bad, but this time I came, I couldn’t even finish my food. The Salmon tasted old it almost had like a chemical taste to it. I’m still burping the salmon up a couple hours later. The garlic mashed potatoes were probably 3 days old they were crispy and dry, yes mashed potatoes crispy. I got garlic green beans as well, I think those were definitely the most flavored thing on the plate, but again they seemed a little old. We went to Applebee’s after a great day at Joshua Tree National Park. The food was really good and the portions were huge, everything was flavorful and satisfying. Even though we arrived late, the service was attentive and fast. It’s a solid option if you’re in the area.

They have a lot of deals on the menu ordering two meals for $30. I had the Fiesta Lime Chicken that was very tasty but not too tart with the lime. I didn't want rice and subbed coleslaw, but didn't care for the dressing. Stephen got the Cheese Burger and thought it was good though it was well done instead of medium rare. We each had a Cesar Salad. Their soda is Pepsi products and not a fan of this cola. It also seemed like the mix was not right. Overall the meal was good value and I loved the outside seating area.

The waitress and staff were rude. Never came to check on us or offer refills. We were treated as if we should not have been there, and we for sure will not be returning. Spend your money elsewhere for better food and better service.

We were greeted by Javier, the server. He was nice, polite and very attentive. We ordered baby back ribs. They were cold and tough to eat. So we returned them and ordered grilled cheese burgers. They were even worse than the baby back ribs. We could not eat them. The table next to us also returned their food because they thought that the food was “disgusting “ and they left. So we just paid the bill and when we were leaving, the manager showed up. We told him how bad our experience was. He started questioning us very rudely about why we think the food was bad. My son just told the manager that the sauce they served was so bad (as a matter of speech) that it tasted like vomit.
