Applebee's Grill + Bar

I walked into Applebee's orbiting somewhere above the atmosphere. Not tipsy. Not buzzed. I mean astronaut-level elevated. 🚀 Naturally, I made a bold executive decision. Skip dinner. Not sure what people are complaining about? I took my two kids here on a Friday night. We were seated promptly, service was great, food was tasty and sent out promptly. Everyone loved their food. Manager checked in with us and other tables, which I always appreciate. I ordered the shrimp Tex mex bowl which had quite a bit of kick (so be warned if you have MN levels of spice tolerance). I loved it and was pleasantly surprised by the spice. We are visiting because my husband has surgery at Mayo but will definitely be back again if we find ourselves in the area.

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The manager was walking around and was very friendly, and our waiter Kelsey was so nice!

Yesterday we brought my husband’s grandma out to lunch at Applebee’s. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. We were seated next to a table with screaming children, which wasn’t ideal, but thankfully they weren’t there for very long. The music was also playing at a very loud level. I ordered the ribeye steak cooked medium with sautéed onions and mushrooms, loaded mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The only thing that was edible on my plate was the broccoli. The steak was extremely bland, rubbery, and cooked well-done instead of medium. The loaded mashed potatoes were cold and had a strange, unpleasant taste. My family & our friends went to Applebee's (by Target north) last night & had the absolute BEST experience. We were seated in Bruce’s section & he was PHENOMENAL. He was so kind & considerate of our kids (we had 7 kids total at our table between the ages of 7-2) He was so engaging with them & truly made them feel like he cared what they were telling him. He had asked what our plans were after dinner & my son mentioned we were going to flapdoodles for ice cream. We left Applebee's & did go for ice cream.. Only to realize we must have forgot our credit card at the restaurant..
