Applebee's Grill + Bar

So for starters I ordered the 3 app deal thing.got 2 riblets and a quesodilla .riblets came out super small .they were very tough hard to even get off the bone with that little bit of meat.also ordered the riblet platter (regretted this decision after I got my appetizer) they brought out one of sides with the appetizer as it sat there and got cold waiting for the entre to come.the riblet platter came 3 out of the 4 riblets were burnt black. The Mac and cheese I ordered came out cold they sprinkled shredded cheese on top cold out of the fridge didnt bother melting it.had to ask for it to be sent back to be put through the microwave. Made it rubbery and gross at that point.the only thing I ended up eating from the whole meal was the French onion soup that sat waiting for the rest of the meal

Food is always great.. Got the combo appetizers sampler to share, I got the chicken parmesan fettuccine, and my husband got that bourbon chicken and andouille sausage pasta. Both so good! The food has never been the problem for us. Its the understaffing. Anyways once in awhile service is great. But go during the lunch time or a non weekend and its totally different. They dont have enough servers to seat the full restaurant, like there will be easily 6+ tables, roughly one section they cant use because understaffed. Which i get but it makes wait times longer and bit more frustrating. The ladies are always apologizing though and smiles. We have eaten at this restaurant many, many times & have never had any issues with the service or the food, until this last time. Our server seemed to not know what she was doing & barely came to our table to check on us. It was well over 20 minutes before we got our drinks & another hour before we received our food. I had to stop her to ask for my salad. The worse part was, I ordered the Steak & Shrimp, with the steak medium-rare. Everything looked really good when we finally received our food. Until I started eating the steak. It was way over cooked to the point of being like rubber. I let our server know & she spoke to her manager about it. Another 20 minutes went by & she came back asking if the manager had been by to talk to us. Nope, she hadn't. Eventually she did stop at our table &

honestly one of the worse experiences, we waited to be seated for 10 minutes while there was five workers just standing in the back. we waited 40 minutes for an appetizer that had to be sent back because it was cold, then the drinks finally came out, i ordered a pina colada with strawberry, the strawberry didn’t come on it. at that point i wasn’t waiting another 30 minutes for them to fix it. The food finally comes out and my steak was raw( didnt even eat it), the broccoli was cold and the potatoes were just room temp. I just wanted to get out of that place so i didn’t even complain. The amount of people surrounding us that complained was insane. at that point just close or stop sitting tables.

Felt short staffed. If you have plenty of time, it is a good place to eat once you get your food. Broccoli should be cooked a little longer so that when butter is added, it is warm enough to melt. Great atmosphere. Wait staff always seems to be doing double duty.
