Applebee's Grill + Bar

We visit every couple of weeks and generally find some choices very good and others just ok. Today was no different: chicken sandwich and oriental salad were very good. Sandwiches tend to always be messy to eat. Two of our party ordered wings that were served cold…as in just out of the refrigerator. We have found almost without exception the ketchup bottles on the tables are aknots empty. Today took a 3rd requested bottle to receive one with any amount that did not sputter when squeezed. We were seated promptly but our wait to place order was about 30 minutes.

Today I placed a $48.97 order at this Apple in Clemmons. I was tired and wanted to eat at home. They sent me beef that was raw inside and burnt outside, even though I ordered it fully cooked. The mushrooms were raw and dry. My wife's chicken was burnt, as if it had been cooked on a griddle with food residue. They didn't send my piña colada. I'm completely disappointed. I called the restaurant, and the manager wanted to give me a $25 credit, but I had to go in person. It's not about the money; it's the poor service. It's awful. This is the first and last time I'll buy from them. Their chef is useless.

This Applebee's location can get quite busy sometimes -- and I have no clue why. Beer selection is poor while food offerings are mediocre at best. More than once they've screwed up my order. And I have yet to see any awesome deals or specials here. What draws all those patrons back again and again? I don't get it.

I came in a week ago and was not acknowledged by anyone for over 10 minutes. Not many customers that day. The workers just stayed at a distance. Today, we came in and we waited at least 15 minutes at the door. There were some customers but it was not slammed. Then we had to wait forever for our food. The people seated after us got waited on and got their food before us. I got a chicken salad and had an issue because the cabbage mix was swimming in coleslaw dressing and then there was an Asian dressing on top of it. I told the manager that I understand that there was Asian dressing but I didn't like coleslaw dressing. 15 minutes later, I got the same identical salad and was told that was the way they made it. Honestly, I should have just asked for my money back. Very frustrated.

Went in today for lunch. Wait was short not many people in there. Food was just ok, except for hamburger, just imagine a hockey puck on a bun. That was burnt beyond recognition. Manger did fix, but it should have never made to table. Server was excellent, but he kept having to make excuses about being out of staple items. What restaurant stays in business by running out broccoli and salad dressing? Maybe other things too. Also, if you need receipt, check your junk mail. . So not going back.
