Abbott's Frozen Custard

I rarely prefer custard over ice cream but these apparently are few and far between in the east and I came across it while driving through. Because the waffle cones were highly rated I had to give it a go. I had the cone crumbled in the cup to make it convenient to have while driving. The attendent was very kind and helpful! The chocolate custard was quite good and the portion was generous. I didn't enjoy the waffle cone as I had hoped. It was different than ones I've had from specialty ice cream shops. If you like custard it's worth a try.

Yum. First time here and the place was booming on a Sunday night. The gals behind the counter kept the line moving. There were 12 of us in our group and at least 20 others came through before we left. Everyone was happy with their order. I personally loved the vanilla custard with the warm caramel sauce.

I got my kids each a 5$ gift card for Christmas that I purchased on 12/19 at Abbott’s. Their dad the youngest yesterday and was told his gift card showed zero dollars. They still honored the gift card for him and showed them the sleeve for the card where the cashier wrote the dollar amount on them for me when I purchased them. I am very appreciative that they honored it as I would have been extremely disappointed. Thank you to Abbotts for honoring it. My older son’s gift card had the same issue but they honored it as well. Thanks Abbott!

The custard here is so delicious and creamy! You can order scoops of custard, sundaes, milkshakes, or flurries with their classic vanilla, chocolate, chocolate almond, and cookies & cream! They also post on Facebook what their daily custard flavor is. I saw they had maple walnut and was excited to try it! The maple walnut was tasty, with a nice maple flavor and a few crunchy walnuts. They also had vanilla caramel cookie dough; the vanilla base is a really good base, but no real caramel to speak of and there could have been more chunks of cookie dough. I will definitely return, and will probably try one of their flurries next time!

THE BEST CUSTARD AROUND!! Brad and Jennifer Wall own Abbott's in Clemmons and I love it! The custard is smooth and creamy, the waffle cones are made fresh on site, and they have new flavors weekly, with limited edition flavors on occasion. Try the lemon, while it lasts! Heaven.😋 Pints are available for purchase, as well as specialty treats. Run, don't walk. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
