This humble mountain town Applebee’s managed to deliver an experience that was both unexpectedly refined and deserving of two righteous "shaka-bro" hands; two thumbs, two pinkies, both extended to the max. From the moment we slid in, the vibes were ultra chill. Elegant yet relaxed, like a perfectly waxed board pitted deep inside a tasty barrel. The ambiance found a smooth line between classic comfort and laid back charm, making it THE ideal place to rest our dogs and enjoy some hot, fresh grindage in good company. Our waitress (shout out McKenzie) absolutely shredded. She was charming, attentive, and effortlessly welcoming; solid check ins with perfect timing that made me and the homies feel right at home. I enjoy coming here very much. It’s obvious that the management strives make a deposit experience in every way. The service is always great as well as the food. I love the happy hours for half price appetizer. I would give it five stars however the woodwork around the bar is not cleaned regularly.

My husband and I were driving from Chicago to New York, stopped in Clarion, Pa., and had dinner at Applebees. When departing the restaurant I had inadvertently left my purse behind. The next morning we returned and were able to locate the purse thanks to the Managers!! Everything intact! Thank you so very much. Appreciate everyone’s honesty!!

Visited 4-22-25, we were one of two groups with 12+. Last time I visited this location my "fall off the bone ribs" were an overcooked, reheated too many times piece of bbq leather. Manager made me another and did not charge. Same order today, more like burnt ends than fall off the bone. Dry and hard. The bbq sauce was actually black and tasted scorched. It took over an hour for entrees to make it to the table. All arrived at the same time so I'm assuming some were under a warmer for too long. Chicken sausage penne was dry and like jerky. Battered fish was very bland. That was just our end of the group. The waitress was a total sweetheart, very attentive and accommodating. Unfortunately she had to serve that crap. Food was good and service was decent… took a little longer than it should have maybe but not bad. The rack of ribs was quite delicious!
