Apollo Greek and Lebanese Cafe in Alexandria is a real gem. The owner was amazing and made us feel right at home. He even sat and ate with us, which really showed how much he cares about his customers. I ordered a pasta dish that had a mix of meats — gyro, shrimp, and crawfish — and it was excellent. The flavor of the cheese alone was incredible and brought everything together perfectly. The hummus was smooth, fresh, and full of flavor. This is a family owned Muslim restaurant serving halal food, and you can tell everything is made with care. The place is clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the food came out fresh and at a good pace. It is everything you could ask for in a local spot — good people, great food, and real hospitality. I highly recommend stopping by and supporting them if y
Solid all around experience... Food was prepared fresh x hot.. service was good..I was the only one in the building at the time but still I give credit x respect to the person who served because it was swift x good..
We arrived around 5:30pm for a Mamma Mia inspired birthday celebration and we were not disappointed! It was our first time dining (party of 12) and the food was prepared quickly and was delicious! We had everything from chicken fingers to grape leaves to spinach pies to chicken shawarma to fish to kebabs! Obviously if you aren’t a fan of feta cheese or a certain ingredient, be mindful of the menu, but we enjoyed it all! And the Apollo staff were so hospitable and even allowed us to wrap the party up a little after closing time. Highly recommend!
The seating is nice, clean and spacious. We had the hummus and baba ganoush for an appetizer and they both were really good. We ordered the chicken kabob for the main course and it’s amazing. The chicken is so tender and seasoned to perfection. Definitely going to return.
This was my first visit. I had the Lamb Kabob plate. The lamb was wonderfully cooked. The vegetables, rice, and hummus were all good. The side salad with feta was superb. The restraunt counter service. Lots of options I wish I could have tried everything.
