Ann’s Back in the Day Cafe

This was my second time getting food from this place👏🏾. My first time I had the “bug” and wasn’t able to taste food.. Stop 🛑, I could taste ALL of her food. I had heard so much about her Catfish, so my husband and I decided to try it today. BABEE 😘, the catfish was absolutely delicious, along with Macaroni and Cheese, Fried Okra and Cornbread. Ann, the owner greets you at the door with a beautiful smile (which is rare). The atmosphere and decor is classy and clean. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and VERY professional. Ann’s Back in the Day Cafe is my “ Go To Place” for good soul food in Prattville 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. You should try it 👍🏾 My picture shows what was left on my plate. I had already eaten up most of my food 🥘 and still had that left .

The owner greeted us at the door with hugs and hospitality. You could tell she was there for others and not herself- her aura as a cafe business owner made you feed perfectly at home! The food was great, but the staff made the experience superb. Friendly as can be! You definitely have to try this place! They have breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Oh, and dessert! All covered in the buffet price!

I must say I was very impressed with the overall appearance. The tables were nicely put together with placemats, tablecloth and all of the appropriate utensils for a fine dining affair. Everyone was so very kind and super attentive. I had the fried chicken, broccoli casserole, and squash casserole. It was all very, very good. The price was a little bit more than what I am used to spending for a sit down lunch, but if I owned a restaurant, I would be charging much more. I was very satisfied and look forward to returning. I hope everyone else will support this family owned local business. It’s worth trying.
