So, date night was a success. My boyfriend decided to surprise me and take me to this adorable gem hidden in Baltimore. In honor of the great poet Edgar Allan Poe, the well decorated bar encapsulated the poem and its many details. The drinks menu and food options complemented each other very well. I was very impressed. An the bartender was an absolute pleasure to interact with that night. Just make sure you save room for dessert because the bartender is going to insist you leave with something sweet. A+
I was very excited to try this place. I was mostly excited about the drink menu. It was a bar so not to very exciting. The waitress and the cocktail was the best part of our experience. The waitress was very friendly. Give us suggestions on food while we were there and for other places while we are in Baltimore. The Black Cat cocktail was Amazing. The meatloaf dinner with mash potatoes, gravy and green beans that was suggested was just okay. The green beens were the best thing on the plate. The atmosphere was chill. It had some cool decor.
If you're a fan of Edgar Allan Poe, you have to go. But even if you aren't, the food is so good, it's worth it. Our party of four ordered all different items, and everyone loved what they got. The themed cocktails were especially good. They were really busy and seemed to be understaffed, but our server kept up pretty well. We had a great time and will definitely go back again.
Dug the place, but just selfishly wish they had Natty Boh. Bartender was chill and recommended me a Zadie's - which I didn't hate. Would give it another shot.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Annabelle Lee Tavern! While visiting Baltimore, this is a must see. Beautifully decorated with macabre decor and paintings of Poe and other elements of his famous works such as the raven, and Annabelle Lee herself. Beyond the spooky visual interest, the tavern has a cozy vibe and feel to it. If I was a local, I would absolutely become a bar regular. My “MORBID RUMINATION” cocktail (made with gin, maraschino cherry liquor, gin etc) as well as my espresso martini were out of this world. Jessica was our bartender and server, and she was so knowledgeable about the restaurant, cocktail menu, and absolutely wonderful to chat with. For dinner, I ordered the crab cake sandwich, which came in a bun with lettuce and tomato and a side of sweet potato fri
