Anke's Bakery

Had lunch there today and thought it was going to be really good by the smell of the breads they were baking. We ordered a chicken bacon panini and a roast beef panini. Looks great on a plate but when you bite into it the meat was very tough and chewy and the chicken was very dry. The bread was very good and the greens were also good. To heavy on the pesto and mustard though. Had it not been $16 for each sandwich it wouldn’t have been so bad but for that price we expected better meat. Give them a try maybe it was just our sandwich’s because all the other reviews are good. I’m not from this town so I can be honest with my review. The breads and rolls in the shop looked incredible and smell really good.

Pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend this spot to grab lunch on the go. We got a chicken and bacon sandwich (so good, very flavorful), a turkey sandwich, almond croissant and sourdough donut. The donut was so delicious, not overly sweet and baked perfectly. We could tell the food was made with good quality ingredients and lots of love.

When I requested that Anke donate something for our Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity fundraiser, she was immediately on board and followed through with her AMAZING Stawberry Cream Cake. I’m going to Belle Fourche this week and plan to stop in and buy a few things!
