Best steak in a sack ever! This place has been a staple for Chattanooga since the 80’s and it still turns out amazing food. Great hamburgers, sandwiches and superb onion rings- you can’t go wrong at the original Ankar’s on Brainerd Road!

Great fast food joint - we were fresh off a flight and needed to get food in our stomachs. Got the Special Hoagie, a gyro and some fries. The fries are the crinkle kind. The gyro was generously stuffed with meat and the hoagie was as well. The staff were also courteous and the food came out quickly. Well done!

Food is so hot and fresh! It’s high quality food with a great price tag and good portions. Their onion rings are the best I’ve had and I highly suggest the steak sub with provolone cheese … so delicious! The sandwich is big enough that if you can probably share or have enough leftovers for later. It cost around $13 for the sun and onion rings.

Been going to Ankar's for about 12 years. Always great food, great service and priced right. Back down in the Chattanooga area today on little business trip and always great to stop by Ankar's to relax and enjoy a good tasting lunch meal. My go-to for a quick and delicious lunch and friendly atmosphere when in Chattanooga. The hamburgers are awesome. Highly recommended.
