I had read the reviews about this place and against my thoughts, we decided to go here anyway. It's really close to where we were staying, so it was definitely convenient. We were seated immediately and at once I could tell who the owner was, as he was standing at a nearby table speaking loudly about politics. While we agree with his stance, maybe he shouldn't be engaging in these conversations in the presence of other diners I can see why others have been put off by him. As far as the food is concerned, it was very good and we enjoyed it. Their website indicated that free salsa chips, with one refill are included with an entree purchase, but their menu reads no free chips and salsa at all. I recommended to the server that maybe the owner needs to coordinate the two so there's no argume

We ate here yesterday. The salsas are fresh and homemade along with the chips. Had the best bloody mary and a jack n coke from the bar. The meat on the burritos was very tender. I had chicken and my husband had beef. Coffee was good too. Great service. Its more American style Mexican, but we loved it. Will definately return. Loved the true western cowboy atmosphere, too!

We have been here a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. Today we stopped and what a difference! The food was not flavorful. Ordered chicken fajitas, very bland. The flour tortillas were dried out and crispy. We had to pay $6.00 for chips and salsa and an extra $3.00 for splitting. We had to ask for an extra plate, apparently they expected us to eat off of 1 plate. Whenever we split an entree restaurants usually divide the portions on 2 plates. Especially since they are charging $3.00, what is the extra charge for! I have Never been to a Mexican restaurant that has charged for chips and salsa before! The positive thing was the server who was very nice!

Last time we'll be coming here. Reason 1: Chips and Salsa no longer free. Apparently they went from free to charging nearly $10 for a single bowl and one refill. Now they're charging nearly $6 for the first bowl and $4 more for the second bowl so it ends up being the same price if you want 2 bowls. (Note: Their menu on their website still lists these as being free, so this was quite a shock.) Reason 2: Service was non-existent and it wasn't that busy. Our waitress never came back to our table to check on food, offered refills, brought our check, etc. We had to keep flagging down other people as they rushed by to see if they would take care of us instead. Helpful Hint: If you want tips on already increased food prices, I'd suggest you actually pay attention to your patrons. Reason 3: Foo

Chips and salsa are around $5 for about 8 Oz of chips (give or take). The salsas themselves taste like pizza sauce (marinara sauce) with a strong flavoring of just plain tomato paste. They were very pricey so I thought, you know what, the food might be worth the price. But no, the food had hardly any seasoning, the beans were only warm, and the shredded beef tasted like it came from a pre-made dinner dish like those found at Safeway. I could have made better food for 1/4 of my bill at home but I wanted to enjoy a meal at a restaurant with my family. I have eaten at many many Mexican restaurants, even in states across the country, but this one by far is the worst one I've ever eaten at. The server was very kind in tone but she lacked table manners. When grabbing a plate her arm went straigh
