We came to Anima for my brother's wedding reception. We had a private room reserved for our party as part of a wine pairing event that was being held at the restaurant that night. The menu was pre-fix to pair with the wines being presented, and unfortunately several of the guests in our party had dietary restrictions that conflicted with the set menu, at no fault of Anima of course. We enjoyed the dinner, although the wines being announced over microphone made for a less-than intimate evening in the private dining room. The service was phenomenal, and we were well taken care of. There’s a small collection of spots I regularly setup feasts at in Vegas, for my stomach, for dates, for colleagues, and events. I’m not an influencer pumping for klout, I share for fun, and the love of the community. So when I hit spots in the same market vertical it feels like cheating on a girlfriend, which I’ve never done. This time I reached out to my friend and shared my feelings on the spot before I dropped my story. The restaurant was very nice in a upscale hipster shopping and apartment complex. Parking was not difficult. Restaurant is modern. Service was top-notch without a doubt and one of the reasons you would definitely need to go back. The chef's choice salad was one of the best I've had in a long time. The patatas bravas were probably a shock because they were deep fried layered potatoes that were unfortunately way way too greasy. I could not finish it because it was dripping in oil am I don't know if that's the way it should be prepared. I hope they consider baked versions in the future. The pasta was extremely good on taste but extremely small on quantity. You get a 2 course lunch for $25 and most of the add-ons are approximately $10. The wine they chose was spectacular.

Went for lunch on a Friday. Started with the Bravas Potatoes, Green Tartare, the Dealers Choice salad, and the wedge salad. All were fantastic. The salad dressings were seasoned well and the Bravas Potatoes came with a wonderful sauce. For entrees we had the Anima Meatballs, Pichana and Frites, Malfaldine Carbonara, and Salmon La Plancha. Again, all came out hot and were seasoned very nicely. The salmon was slightly overcooked, but still delicious. The Carbonara was outstanding. Had the chocolate fudge dessert and the Pistachio Tiramisu. The tiramisu was absolutely delicious, and the fudge was great too, but would choose the pistachio tiramisu over the fudge. Walking up to this establishment it may seem closed due to the tinted glass exterior, but once you walk in you see the lively atmosphere inside. The food is great. I recommend reading reviews and listening to your server for food selections. We thoroughly enjoyed the Som's wine picks, I got white wine for seafood and my wife got a red to pair with beef. Thoroughly enjoyed the overall quality of each plate brought to the table. Definitely want to go back and try different dishes.
