Delicious food. I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and was finally able to go. And I’m happy I did. They were super busy when we arrived so it took about 10 minutes to check on us but were very apologetic. All good. The setting is very casual so not a romantic first date setting, but the food is delicious so if you want to impress via taste buds, then give it a try. Everything looked so good so we all tried different dishes for a wider experience. For starters we had tahdig, which I think is a must-try. I’ve wanted to try tahdig for awhile now and this hit my spot. For my meal, I had the pesto chicken kabobs, upgraded with shirin sweet polo rice, which was amazing on its own. One of my kids had the kadoo, which was also delicious. My wife had the bademjan, another winner
This Persian restaurant is a true hidden gem — small, cozy, and filled with a comforting, home-style vibe. From the moment you walk in, it feels welcoming and intimate, and the authenticity of the Persian cuisine really stands out. The food was excellent, especially the bakhtiari kebob (9/10) and the chimichurri lamb (9/10) both of which were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The saffron rice was beautifully done, fragrant, and served in a huge portion, making the meal even more satisfying. A lovely touch was the saffron tea, which paired perfectly with the kebabs and helped balance the richness of the meal. The service truly elevated the experience. The staff was extremely attentive and kind, and I especially want to mention Stella, who is from Belize. She was absolutely wo
Amoos was very nice. I honestly felt like I was sitting at someone’s home i came here to try different Persian food other than only kabob. Although I can’t help myself I always have to get koobideh when I go to any Persian restaurant. I started myself with some Hot Persian tea which was delicious and relaxing. It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon , then I ordered some Ashe reshte which was my first time ever having and it was delicious. Then of course I had the koobideh and the barg. I felt like the koobideh could’ve been a little more tender not and a little less cooked as the same with the barg. It was still delicious! I prefer shamshiry kabob over Amoos but where the real deal is at is all of the soups and stews he has on the menu! The Ghormeh Sabzi is fantastic. I can’t wait to come back a
An absolute gem in the heart of New York! This Iranian restaurant beautifully captures the warmth and flavor of authentic Persian cuisine. Every dish feels like a comforting taste of home, rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, making it ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions. The service is attentive and genuinely welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the experience. And the highlight? Their special red wine, smooth, deep, and perfectly paired with Persian flavours. It’s truly the finishing touch that makes the meal unforgettable. A must visit for anyone who loves Iranian food or simply appreciates quality dining with heart and soul.
As a persian I find that many of us are politely rude. In general when we greet each other we begin with saying things like wow you got old or wow you got fat. We buy a nice car and leave it to one of our friends to say something like you paid too much or that is not the best model. It's hard to just say something nice and easy to criticize. Especially with food so let me just say simply this place has awesome food period. I had the kebab combo with salad shirazi. My first time here and they just opened. I did not expect the food to be so delicious this early but it tasted so fresh and fantastic. This leads me to believe some of the negative reviews are just fellow Persians doing the negative thing for no reason at all. Our culture may not be the best at many things but at food we are king
