Amo Sami's Shawarma

I heard about this place from my Stepson and we decided to check it out. What he showed me was viral looking Shawarmas dripping with Garlic and looked amazing . Spoiler alert, Don’t trust the internet We must have gotten them on a bad day. Like is stated most things on the internet don’t believe everything you see and only half of what you read. Because the pics and reviews were amazing. Too be fair we did visit their Wayne location ticked away in a fairly clean BP station and not their Sterling heights flagship store, but should that have really mattered, well scruffy to what we saw online vs what we had… the answer is Yes. Extremely friendly service and great food. Their shawarma wraps are gigantic (my wife and I split one with fries and were full) and crispy to the point where some bites feel like you’re eating pita chips. Very different wrap compared to others I’ve enjoyed. Get yourself a cup of hummus on the side to dip.

My daughter and I come here once a week for our mother daughter lunch and their shawarmas are absolutely the best I’ve ever had and their lemon pepper fries are so amazing. The guys are great and it’s so CLEAN!!

I recently ate at Amo Samis, the gas station branch, and my overall impression was average — I would give it 3 stars. The food itself was okay, but it didn’t feel as good as the experience I’ve had at the Amo Samis canteen branch. The fries were seasoned and crisp, but the portion was smaller than what I usually get at the canteen. They tasted fine, but I was expecting a bit more quantity for the price. The chicken wrap was flavorful with nicely grilled bread, but the filling was on the lighter side compared to what I’m used to. At the canteen location, the wraps are usually packed and feel much more satisfying. Another difference I noticed was the garlic paste (toom). At the canteen branch, they usually add more toom, which gives the wrap a rich and creamy flavor. At this gas station br

Delicious! We got the Amo and the beef, both were wonderful. The crispy wrap held the sauce and juice so well. I love the garlic sauce and fries in the Amo. Fries were surprisingly tasty.
