Amicia's Creole Cuisine

My experince fell below my expectations. Upon ordering my food, I was told that it would take 30 minutes as the fried goat had to be cooked. No problem, but it actually took about an hour. The fried goat was good, but everything else was just average. The black rice didn’t look like black rice and it was a little dry. The plantains were also average. What helped to make the platter a little better was one of the sauces that came with it. I can’t recommend this place but I will say you have to try it for yourself.

Please read my review! I have absolutely no problem with giving a place a one star review and do so quite often if I’m being honest! I am always fair with my reviews because I understand what they mean to small businesses. BUTTT TODAY WE HAVE 5 STARS!!!!!!!!! This is some of the best Plates I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. The food is absolutely delicious!!!! I purchased a griot complete and it did not disappoint. Everything was well seasoned and tasted fresh! I will definitely be back the next time I am in Stone Mountain! ❤️

Let me praise this restaurant right quick!!! As a Haitian woman It has been hard to find a good Haitian restaurant with great customer service. I was so pleased on how patient and nice they were to the point I had to call the restaurant and give them their flowers because I was very impressed. I will definitely be back!!! And the food was good, I wish the fish was bigger but It was still a decent size. The rice was so tasty, I usually don’t eat jasmine rice but they washed and cook that rice to perfection! I also had got their homemade mango passion fruit juice and It was delicious! Thank you for changing that narrative of “all Haitian restaurants have bad customer service”, keep up the good work. ****The plate came with 2 plantains but I ate one before taking the pic lol****

I have ordered from here before and the food was delicious but this time is different. I ordered 2 griot plates with black rice, green plantains and salad… 8/9pm on a Friday . I was expecting fresh food. The black rice tastes like 50 cloves were in the pot. The taste is overpowering! The rice.. not black at all and feels old. Like the rice was refried in the pan with butter. The griot taste and smells old. Like it was pre-boiled days ago and fried today. I could not eat it because again, the smell was a complete turn off! Needless to say, this is my first and last time wasting my money.
