First time here and must say everything from food, service , ambiance and solid 10. Delecious everything we had was very very good ! I worked in Manhattan my whole career in Sales i know resturants especially Italian. Amato's is the same quality ! Two highlights , the clam appetizer and desert the best canoli better the Ferraros in NYC my entre very good too !

This place is the best! If you ever get near Hobe Sound or even if you’re not very far you have got to come check them out. The food is authentic and homemade and delicious! The staff is the best. You’re missing it if you don’t come here!

As a guest of Amato’s since opening day, I have seen renovations, staff changes and menu alternations. One thing has remained the same, a member of the family is already present on location. Last night however was the best the food has been by tenfold. The staff from Jared to Amanda (who has been on location for years now and knows every guest by name), are always ready to host you as if they were welcoming you into their own home. Amato Jr. has spent every day for the last several years overseeing all food prep in the early morning and has recently altered the recipe for their marinara sauce. The flavor has a less acidic after taste and is incredibly pleasant and aromatic. You would think it was made by Nona. Angelina has recently taken helm of the kitchen and has a finer understanding

Update: After another six months of Amato’s experiences, I’m officially considering naming my next child Amato Clark. For all the negative reviews — please live in Hobe Sound for more than two weeks before chiming in. This place is a 10/10. The family, the atmosphere, and the quality of the food couldn’t be better. If you’re looking for 20-person tables and instant seating, make a reservation at Carrabba’s and save the complaints for somewhere else. This is a hometown gem. Any issues with my updated review?
