Amazing little store with so many local historical books, pictures and stories and maps. A must for anybody interested in Florida history and especially Stuart and surroundings

Florida Classic Library its on old Dixie highway so you really have to be careful 🧐 because it is hidden and you can drive right past it the charm is the outside it is a combination of 🧚‍♂️ fairy land and Buddhist garden you can buy your books and sit outside with your lunch and enjoy the garden it is so peaceful inside the books are about the history of florida they have a lot of maps and it is very quaint plus parking is very tight maybe three parking spaces but it is worth it and the owner was helpful and friendly 😀 enjoy!!!

Love love love! From the stucco sided castle like building nestled behind the bountiful, beautiful butterfly garden, abundant with dragon flies, butterflies and a butterfly house that holds/protects some of the cocoons/crysalis in their stages for everyone to come and enjoy, from when the butterfly lays the eggs on the milkweed to caterpillar to butterfly transformation! And then you walk inside ! All the maps and history of the area especially my favorite The Treasure Coast! Postcards and story books from the beginning of the area about the ships and the history of the postmen that worked along the coast! I highly recommend a class trip when able!

If you like reading about the history of Florida this small book store is a gem. They have shorts reads for a few bucks all the way to big heavy hardcover books. There's also have a bunch of maps of the state and posters. I like chatting with the owners they have a lot of local knowledge and are super friendly. Theres also a very sweet dog which is the icing on the cake for me. If you're from out of town and want a suvinear thats not something cheesey like an alligator foot or jar of sand if you want something unique this would be a great stop. If you're a collector of books or if you're looking for a gift for someone who really likes this state this is a great place to find a gift you won't find almost anywhere else.

Absolute must go! Especially if you want to get to know local history and feel like you "know" the area and Florida. He keeps early hours. Always a good idea to call too make sure he is open.
