Customer Reviews
Our visit here was one of the best most authentic dining experiences ever. From the customer service given by the Sweet couple that owns the restaurant to the delicious savory food and atmosphere,… it was amazing! We called ahead to reserve seating for a birthday party and they accommodated. When we arrived and were seated, they served the most delicious bruschetta. Every single dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, but most of all it was comforting SOUL FOOD. The owners are so personable and friendly. The birthday girl stated it was the best seafood soup she’s ever had. The focaccia bread is the best I’ve ever tasted. This is not a stuffy restaurant at all. It’s a place where you can taste in the food that someone cares and put lots of love and intentionality into the dishes.
Favorite place in downtown Norfolk!!! Not only is it some of the absolute best food you’ve ever had, but the ATMOSPHERE!!! Nichole is the sweetest woman and so nice and welcoming and accommodating and Gabriel really takes it from a dinner out to an experience!! He always sits down with my family and chats with us and gives the warmest hugs!! It’s one of those places you can’t help but be a regular because you just want to be there. 1000000000/10. I’d give A million stars. If you’re considering it, go!!! Forgetaboutit Figata: my father loves this one, if you like charcuterie meats this is definitely a good one. Pasta: my brother asked for a pasta with red sauce and they whipped some up for him, it was delicious. Their red sauce is above and beyond so even dishes you may be used to like las
In town for a college bowling tournament, my daughter found this place by googling. Although a very small location, the food was excellent! My daughter loved her fugetabutit and I enjoyed my fiamme. We tried each other sandwich, we both agreed both sandwiches were excellent. I ended up getting a fugetabutit to go 😍, love the jelly, see 2 pics with a little bit sliding off the side. Be prepared to get takeout because seating was very limited, and the wait was 20-40 minutes for a table.
If you’re looking for a sign to try this restaurant, look no further!! Put this on your list for 2026 must-try spots! DELICIOUS & FRESH food, cozy atmosphere, and the most hospitable husband & wife (owners) duo! Shout out to the wife for managing several customers during early lunch service on her own! We tried the Caterina & Porchettina on their homemade focaccia. Watched as the meats & cheeses were sliced/cut fresh for each sandwich. The portions are HUGE and I could barely move after eating. The owner even treated us to a sweet little dessert to end our meal! Feels like you’re at home here, a quality that is scarce in the food industry nowadays. So excited to come back and try more of their food!! Thank you for a great meal ❤️
Great location! This was a 3 minute walk from the Scope. Our party of 4 was seated with no wait at 5 on a Saturday, which was unexpected and appreciated. By the time we left the space was filling up, so get there early. The quality of all the food we tried was fantastic. Portions were LARGE. Staff was friendly and helpful. The mini cannoli shells were crispy and light and perfect. Minor criticisms: in the menu it stated the Norfoccacia sandwich would have red onion on it, but it came with chunky white onion- thinly sliced red onion would've been way better. Also the tomato pieces on it were huge- it was like 2 halves of a roma tomato and I needed to take them off to cut them into smaller slices before eating. I'm not sure what happened there, because the tomatoes on my husband's sandwich
