Alvin Rondeau's Dairy Bar

Alvin Rondeau's Dairy Bar has been my favorite ice cream spot since I was a little kid, and it still holds that same magic today. It’s a true hidden gem in Palmer — the kind of place where you can sit down with your neighbors or total strangers and feel like you’re at a family picnic. The owner Mike, genuinely loves what he does and honors his family's legacy with heart and hard work. He takes care of his customers, gives local kids a chance at summer jobs, and keeps the place rooted in community. Great food, good people, and the best ice cream around — it’s everything a hometown spot should be.

This is my favorite type of place for lunch on a warm day! I was on my way to lunch further north but noted Rondeau's and planned to stop on my way back. I'm so glad I did! The black raspberry shake was perfect for the drive home! Now I HAVE to go back for lunch!

Love the ice-cream here. Seemed crazy giving it orders, they were busy when we were there but got us taken care of quickly.

My only complaint is that it took me so long to visit! The menu is extensive and everything we tried was delicious! The bun on the burgers was soft as can be, and the cranberry dressing on the turkey sandwich was delicious. We didn’t try ice cream, but that will be for the next visit. Can’t wait to come back!

Always great service. Fantastic ice cream and food options. Very happy with the strawberry shortcake sundae I ordered. I am always happy with whatever I order. I have never been disappointed at Rondeau's. I highly recommend stopping for a whole meal or a quick treat!
