Alulla Hibachi & Sushi (previously Hiro)

My wife and I had heard about Alulla Hibachi and Sushi in the downtown Kennett square area and decided to give it a try, and I’m sure glad we did. We were both pleasantly surprised. We got there around noon on a Saturday and were the only ones there at first. The hostess/waitress was very friendly and helpful since this was our first visit. My wife had the chicken bento box, and I had salmon with steamed mixed vegetables, a tuna roll, clear soup, and green tea. She said hers was very good and ate nearly all of it, which is pretty uncommon for her. Mine was equally as good, and I ate every bit of mine. The clear broth soup was awesome, and I highly recommend it. They have a pretty extensive menu, so there are plenty of choices. I was surprised to learn they’ve been open about three years

This restaurant is amazing. Not only because of the service and food but because of the absolute compassion they have for the community. I have seen neighborhood children come in and tell the lady about their day while she gives them something to drink and a place to cool down. I’ve seen them give food, drink, and a safe space to those wandering. I have never seen her without a smile, a laugh, or turn anyone away. This will always be my favorite place to eat in Kennett.

We have went to many different sushi places and this is by far the BEST sushi ever. Especially the Volcano. The people were soooo nice as well.

First time being here to eat and I was not disappointed! The food came quickly and was fresh, hot and delicious! Some of the best sushi I’ve had. I got the shrimp bento and it was amazing. Everything was perfect

A diamond in the rough!!! We were looking for a good sushi and hibachi restaurant to go to for my birthday! I searched google maps and found this place and boy were we surprised!! Not only is it local but the food was beautiful and delicious!! The service was great too!! We are definitely going back again soon!!
