Alta Coffee Roasters

I haven't ordered anything to go inside this new coffee shop, but their beans are fantastic. I bought a bag of their Ethiopian natural process light-medium roast, and will happily replace it with another one. (Note that they don't seem to have weekend hours.)

Excited for the newest coffee roaster in town and in the greater Boston area. Coffee fans rejoice! Creating small batches of roasts to brew your coffee at home. Very reasonably priced bags of beans. They sell whole beans, I forgot to ask if they could pre-grind but IMHO you should grind at home for maximum freshness. At this review they have limited supply and limited operations as they ramp up their supply chain and online store.

The coffee and the ambiance both are superb. I stopped by out of curiosity and got a free sample shot, an intro to every offering, and a spot on recommendation based on my personal preferences. On the strength of it I bought Whipple Hill blend and was blown away - my very first shot at home came out deliciously sweet, balanced and flavorful. The roast is not bitter, not acidic, makes easy job of dialing in, old world sensibility, new world nuance. Love it!

Picked up some of the ‘Whipple Hill’ espresso beans at Arlington Town day, and just WOW — so robust and flavorful. Will definitely be returning for more beans in the future.

Stopped by to check out this new spot- Jason is extremely welcoming and informative about his business and the product. The shop smells like a freshly roasted coffee bean dream! Purchased loose Zambian med. roast beans, brought my own jar. The flavor is so rich and juicy- I can't wait to refill and try another roast soon! Beans are nice and oily, evenly roasted and full of flavor. The shop hours are tough if you are working during the week, but fingers crossed there are some weekend pickup options in the future or alternatives using the website as this new business gets up and running! (Although shopping in person is an awesome experience itself!) Get your beans here! Highly recommend.
