This is a new coffee house/general store. Great place to stop as you’re driving along Hwy 385. Plenty of parking. In addition to coffee and a few food items is ICE CREAM 🍨. The owners are super nice. Right next to Sugar Shack. Highly recommend this little place just 4.5 north of SD-44 W.
Fantastic little store with all of the essentials! Delicious coffee and espresso from a local roaster and real ICE Cream! What's not to love? I also enjoyed the wild game meats / jerky too. Mmmmmm Need a good meal, visit the Sugar Shack next door... then enjoy desert at the Outpost. The owners and staff were super nice and accommodating too. If you are passing by... it's recommended you stop.
Stopped here on the way back to our Airbnb from golfing and got ice cream. Friendliest guy working inside. Takes the time to ask you where you’re from and makes conversation. My husband said 10/10 stop and a nice last interaction before we head back home. Will be back for sure! Ice cream was good too!
Hands down our favorite stop when cruising the black hills between Hill City and Deadwood... This year during the 85th Sturigs rally we found ourselves stopping in here for a coffee to drink every morning while picking up water and snacks for the days ride. If passing by in the afternoon we couldn't resist a quick and refreshing stop for ice cream. We even noticed that they were selling 12oz adult beverages for just $2 each! Crazy... The staff was super nice, always accommodating and fun to chat with every time we visited. The Alpine Outpost 385 hoodie is super comfy too... Highly recommended.
