Alpha pupuseria

The pupusas at this place will hit the spot!! Wednesdays you can get them for $1.35 😱😱😱😱😱 but the catch is that you can only take them to go, which all I can think of is that at least they won't have to clean after you but am still trying to find the logic in that. They also have a minimum of 5 pupusas. People order 20 or 30 at a time so call in your order and pick it up once is ready, otherwise you will be waiting for over an hour. But they are totally worth it!!

The food is great. The place is humble and mostly empty, most orders are to go. They had the door open and flies get in, I didn’t like that. The pupusas as freshly made so it takes a while. We waited over 20 minutes for our food and the place was empty. Next time I’ll phone ahead and get them to go. Service is ok, not great but the food is worth it. The pupusa revuelta is delicious. It was $26 for two people. 3 pupusas, beans, crema and fried bananas, a side of rice and one drink.

When we arrived, we thought the place was closing down. The lights were all turned off, no employee was in sight, no music etc. We sat ourselves and waited for 5 minutes before we realized you have to order up in the front. We ordered 4 Pupusas: 2 combination, 1 asada and cheese and 1 cheese and calabacitas. It took almost 40 minutes to get the food but it was delicious. The curtido was a 3/5 for me. The horchata salvadoreña was tasty, very different than the usual Mexican horchata but worth trying. Overall we would return but keeping in mind the wait time and atmosphere. If you dine in dont expect to be waited on. Side note: they make their own chicharrón. They also have some weekday special but I didn’t take a picture of the sign. Ooops.

My first time coming here and the food was amazing! Love the Pupusas and everything else can't go wrong here! They make everything from scratch so it takes a bit to make the food so order ahead if you are in a rush. Will be going back for more yummm!

Definitely adding this place to my list, if I am around the area. Pupusas had a good flavor 8/10 The curtido and salsa have space for improvement 7/10 The ensalada was on point 10/10 Horchata had a little too much chocolate and it definitely hurt the flavor 😫 7/10
