Highly recommend the chicken pad Thai and the Tom Kha Gai soup. Great comfort food. They can tailor the spiciness to whatever level you want and most dishes had meat-free options or you could add a protein of your choice so it’s very customizable. Everything tasted fresh and was definitely made in house from scratch or close to it. Very “no frills” in the way of ambiance and decor but the food more than makes up for that (or you can do takeout - which we saw a lot of people come in for).
Excellent food and service. Everything was perfect. The Tom Ka soup was extremely well balanced, the Crab Rangoon was perfectly portioned and delicious, the Volcano Chicken was crispy and super flavorful, and the Pad Thai is more than what I would hope for from a good Thai restaurant. The portions were generous and the wait was well worth the flavor and quality of food. The only criticism I could give is possibly adding some background music or something for a little ambiance. Regardless, I strongly recommend Aloy Dee to anyone on the fence. If you hear it's a 30-45 minute wait for food, grab a seat and ask for a Singha.
Oh, how I dislike leaving a negative review, especially for a Thai food place, because Thai food is, generally speaking, pretty great. This could be so much better with a little bit of instruction. Chicken laab (laab gai or larb gai) isn't supposed to be soaking in a broth. One of the delights about this dish is that this classic Thai dish offers a wonderful play between the ground chicken and the lettuce. Crucial to a laab is toasted ground rice, mint, cilantro, scallions... I'm stunned that the cooks clearly haven't bothered to learn the basics of this simple , beautiful , classic dish. The tom kha gai was equally uninspired, to say the least. Instead of a rich, luxurious coconut cream-based soup finished with fresh cilantro leaves, it was like something out of a can. The overcooked ch
I love this place! They have the largest vegan /plant base menu in the area. And you can get food as hot as you want!...everyone else is scared to heat my food to my liking. Love this place..food is excellent!! The green curry is the best I have ever had and I speak Thai...they have the personal touch. Everything fresh, one person works the kitchen and cost will be higher. So three yourself. Be patient and enjoy.
Absolutely delicious Thai food. I have tried many red curry dishes and this is one of the best I've had. The drunken noodles were delicious! I will be back to try the mango sticky rice 🙂
