Alfred Dickey Public Library

RVing from North to South and had two days in Jamestown. Quaint town - a lot to see but don't expect much to be open after Labor Day. That said, we stopped at the library and the Louis L' Amour display is well done. Quite a lot of information about this famous writer. Well worth the stop.

I use the scanner to scan papers to email super easy, and the staff are always helpful. Great place!

The staff is very friendly and the hours are fantastic! I don't know of many libraries that are open until 8pm. There are plenty of nooks to read your favorite books in solitude. There are also chess matches that occur Thursday and Friday afternoons. I couldn't recommend it more.

Famous Author, Louis L'Amour mentions this public library 16 times in his autobiography. Sit at the tables where he spent hours reading and learning. The library is soon celebrating their centennial and undergoing renovations which include the installation of a Louis L'Amour exhibit! This is a must stop along the trail of Louis L'Amour fans.

I'm happy to be able to request other books and movies from the other co affiliated library and they are very timely in getting them delivered 1 to 2 days later 👍🙂
