Albertsons

Please know that until recently I would have given 5 stars. I shop here 2 or 3 times a week. I am on a very restrictive diet so I purchase mostly produce and a few items from the deli. The produce is wonderful and has many items that I am able to have. I don't know his name but I usually see the same gentleman stocking while I am there. He's very pleasant with a wonderful smile. Until a few weeks ago I also purchased some salads from the deli but they no longer have the items I am able to have. In fact, the items they still have look old and dried. Although I'm highly disappointed in the negative change, I must mention that Patrick, Cedric, and Tim have always been kind, patient, and helpful. Single dad to a 3yr old turning 4, he wanted a “Numberblocks” cake. My previous custom cake purveyor had cancelled on me with less than 2 days till Bday. Phoned in the order, the young lady placed me on hold multiple times so she could ask a co worker anything question I asked that she was unsure of. Totally fine by me, I can appreciate however I can receive the correct info. She read everything back to me: -1/4 white sheet cake -bottom and top icing border chocolate buttercream -rainbow sprinkles (nowhere specific, but he loves em) -green frosting on the sides -red frosting on top -message -confirmed theme -pick up No decorators there at the time, I know because I asked about the possibility of same day pick up. Used to be my preferred store with a good selection of produce but now it is incredibly difficult to even get around the store. There is merchandise stacked in the center of the aisles - not stocking but displays that stay there. There were a few people in the frozen food aisle and I couldn’t even get in there. Gave up, went elsewhere and will be avoiding this store. Don’t grocery stores have to follow fire codes?

There are too many expired products left on shelves including damaged and spoiled and partially opened products. There are too many products displying incorrect or out of date pricing. Compared to several grocers nearby prices at this location are often higher and this includes pricing at other Alberston and Safeway stores. Over the past couple of years the number of employees has decreased, this has been appearent on weekends, weekdays and both mid day and evening times. I like coming to this store and I typically find what I need, even during the pandemic this location was well stocked. I hope things can improve.

Update from 3-3-24: Shannon in the deli was a friendly, competent employee who offered me great service as she sliced my meat and cheese selections. Kat in the butcher department went above and beyond what I normally observe from store employees as she got my meat requests completed. Also, the butchers behind the scenes did a great job getting my special order together. Way to go, Albertsons, with these employees! Update from 10/14/2023 This Albertson's is still great... good deals at the butcher counter and deli, so I stocked up. Update from 8/11/23: Cisco is the best cashier!
