Al Zein Shawarma & Mediterranean Grill

This place made me so happy! I felt truly ecstatic eating this shawarma , it reminded me of the shawarma back home. It’s sooo good, perfectly crispy, and the toum is full of flavor. The staff are very friendly and welcoming! I also loved the interior , it’s so nostalgic and gave me warm Middle Eastern vibes, which made the whole experience even better.

One of the best restaurants ever! They serve shawarma, grills, falafel, pastries — literally everything is perfect. The service, cleanliness, and generosity in every meal are outstanding.And you have to try their mini shawarma wraps omg, they’re amazing! Every time I come to Alpharetta, I have to eat here and take some food back with me to Virginia. I highly recommend trying everything on the menu! Thank you, Shawarma Al Zein, for bringing us the authentic Damascene and Arabic flavors!

We really wanted to like it but we left disappointed. The meal felt cold, there was no rice with the beef platter. The beef was placed on top of a cheese filed borek which made it soggy and greasy. Appetizer plate was okay, felafel and hummus tasted really good but the babaganoush tasted salty, like the sarmas. The grape leaves tasted like right out of the jar and barely filled with anything. Garlic yogurt mixture is too thick and was oily with the red tomato pepper paste on top. Pita bread is served in small plastic bags, cold. The entire dining area felt cold. Prices are a bit higher than Jerusalem Bakery in Roswell. We’ll not return.

So delicious. We got the Al Zein Mix, lentil soup, and shawarma. It was so good we ordered more to take home. My husband said this is the shawarma he’s been searching for, and as a vegetarian I am very very happy. Amazing falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, pita. All of it. And the people are incredibly friendly and happy to answer any questions we had while trying some new things.

Al Zein is my favorite place to get Middle Eastern food! I love the atmosphere, and the food is consistently delicious. I love the variety, and every employee is super helpful. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant especially the shawarma, falafel wrap, fries with garlic sauce, kunafa, and Hawa soda.
