I went here for Valentine's day and on special occasions they go above and beyond with a unique 3 course dinner menu along with live mood music and wine pairing. The food was incredible! Everything we ate was delicious and each bite seemed to add a different flavor to the dish. The atmosphere is romantic enough to be a very romantic date night while also being chill enough to eat there in casual attire just for dinner. The service is phenomenal! Every waitress there was attentive and friendly. Each course was served while the waitress explained what was in the dish. The entire experience was so memorable that I would travel back to Canada just to eat here again. This restaurant made my fiancé's proposal the perfect level of romance he was looking for.
Let us start with what we ordered: Drinks: Vieni Pinot Noir | AG Cosmo (from old menu) Appetizer with Taste Order: Carpaccio of Beef Tenderloin | Maple Hot Smoked Salmon Candy | Chili Charred Octopus Mains: Confit Duck Leg | Pistachio and Hemp Lake Trout Dessert: Andrew’s Hand Made Gelato (Today: Sea Salt Toffee) | Maple Rosemary Crème Brûlée Drinks are personal preference but match with the duck and fish and almost every dishes. Beef Tenderloin is melting soft with very fine salt spices. Salmon Candy matches the deep and complex sauce and the pan fried shredded potato. Octopus is the best out of the 3, ultra soft with a touch but strong barbecue flavor and unique sauce that I cannot describe. Lake Trout is similar to salmon but the chef fully cooked it but also wonderful soft texture! D
Outstanding experience from beginning to end. Innovative menu with nicely sized portions. Husband had salad, flank steak with gnocchi, and cheesecake. I had sunchokes, duck leg, and bread pudding. We brought desserts back up to our room as we were too full and had consumed a bottle of Cottage Bock Merlot. Erika was our server and she knew the menu, made suggestions, and provided discreet but attentive service. We had taken the accommodation package with 4 course dinner and breakfast in bed. It was very good value for the quality.
Don’t let the exterior of the restaurant fool you. After going down a flight of stairs, the restaurant is modern and beautiful. The ambiance was warm and cozy. The food was absolutely fantastic. Everything from the bread to the entrees were delicious. The duck was tender and juicy and flavourful. The polenta tasted so smooth and buttery. The beets were also a delicious surprise with peaches and the bubble vinaigrette. The flank steak was also cooked to perfection with the ricotta gnocchi. Also a plus, if you’re an office fan, you must try the berries, beets, and battlestar galactica cocktail. Such a treat! Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family and will be back!
Well. Where do you start with this review. My wife and I stayed at the Inn ( Separate review) and I decided to eat at AG. The ambiance in the restaurant is wonderful. Nice music playing against wonderful decor relaxes you and sets the table for what is nothing short of an exceptional meal inspired by Chef Cory. I was welcomed by Erika my Waitress that was more than a waitress. She knew the menu well and recommended the Octopus and the Lamb with a bottle of wonderful Amarone wine. Erika was not rushed and was professionally efficient. I have to say that Cory knows you eat with your eyes first, smell second and taste last. The Octopus dish was stunning in its presentation with immaculate detail to all the delicious bits on the plate. Wow. So good. The Lamb was no less impactful in presen
