If you ever find yourself anywhere near Hooks, Texas, stop what you’re doing and head to Acadia Jeaux’s. I had the special of the day — Jalapeño Popper Meatloaf — and let me tell you, this was not your grandma’s Sunday loaf. It was pure, to-die-for gooey goodness stuffed inside a classic, tender meatloaf. Whoever dreamed this up deserves a culinary medal. 🏅 The wait staff was as warm and welcoming as the food, and when they found out I was staying in a hotel, they even hooked me up with extra dinner leftovers. That’s small-town hospitality at its finest. And then there’s the owner — a friendly character with a great sense of humor who clearly loves what he does. My husband and I are French, living in Alabama. We enjoyed the daily menu and the Mac and cheese, and we are absolutely foooond of the bread pudding. The best we’ve ever eaten! 🤩 100% recommended! Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the excellent lunch!

I have to say that this was a great place to grab a bite to eat. The service and food were really good. I got the seafood gumbo, and it was delicious. As you can see from my bowl. I highly recommend this place as a usual spot or a quick off the highway stop. Either way you go, you won't go wrong.

This restaurant was a 10/10. Passing through town while on vacation googled catfish restaurants and this place was a hit. Our daughter said it was the best catfish shes ever ate and the mac n cheese was delicious. We tried fried catfish, fried / grilled shrimp and the grilled catfish plate. Everything was seasoned perfectly! We will definitely be back.
