Abyssinia Restaurant & Lounge

Ordered the meat and veggie combo for 4 people. Outside of the typical American flavors, but ohh so good. It was delicious, very flavorful, not spicy. If you’re not afraid to eat your food with your fingers and the injera bread, you will be so happy you tried this!

I definitely recommend dining here for an evening out. Another recommendation: the Meat & Veggie platter. It's a must try for first time visitors. Be sure to ask about the spiciness level. Some of the spices will get you, and is worth the sampling. Good atmosphere, good food, and good service. I'll return to explore that lamb menu.

This place is great. We had the vege and meat platter which had an awesome variety of vegetarian and meat dishes, with a generous amount of housemade injera bread. Plenty of food for two people, and the service there was lovely. The tea is also amazing, get it with the cinnamon and clove.

We hadn’t had Ethiopian food in years and were craving it and thankfully we found this spot. The restaurant is small but the interior is beautiful and comforting. They have traditional music playing in the background which we very much enjoyed. The host was very kind and service was excellent. We ordered the sambusa lentil and the vegetarian platter. The sambusa was fresh and crispy. The platter came with a variety of lentils and vegetables - each one extremely delicious and flavorful! My favorite was the yellow mung and my wife’s favorite was the green mung. It reminded us of Indian and Sri Lankan cuisines. Overall, it’s a solid restaurant and we would recommend to those who enjoy similar traditional dishes. We would definitely come back again.

When you walk in right away you see these beautiful soft leather, purple sofas. You seat yourself well at least we did.. Right away I asked to use the bathroom. To see if it was clean. Because if a Restaurant bathroom isn't clean I'm not eating there. It was VERY CLEAN. I don't like where it's located but that's just me 🤭 Anyway we order the platter part veges & part meat. It took a while but when it was brought to us, the AROMAS...FROM THE SPICES WAS EVERRRYTHING. I'm closing my eyes & I can still smell the freshness of it all!!
